Die Kastratin.

An easy read.

XD.

Another kind of classic. You have absolute no idea what you're reading, but you still find it enjoyable.

It's more like a "verkehrtes Theater" than a verkehrte Welt. The playwright and one actor shouting at each other, another actor quits playing, someone from the audience stands up and takes the place.

The actor comes in now as character A and 5 minutes later as character B. Another 15 minutes went by, he comes in and the secondary text reads "as A or B".

A brewer and a baker are fencing while rebels are reigning the other side of the kingdom. You ask them why and the answer is: "no idea, we just feel like to."

Oh yes, this one turns you upside down. But a logic and a thread is not needed in this play. If you had fun "Scary Movies" you'll know what it's like.

One little tip: like the title of this comment suggested, you'll have more fun if you're familiar with stuffs like Shakespeare. It's a commedia dell'arte, man! XD

If not for the beautiful cover...

Take a (not so) wild guess, the two Chinese translators have serious pronunciation problems, so it caused some trouble (should I say pain) to see the names translated that way.

Anyway, I don't know why I ordered this one, I should have had more fun reading this in English or even in German.

Gave it 2 stars for the text itself, will read at least the English translation someday.

I really loved to finish it...

But I just can't.

Had to read this book in our study group, but couldn't finish it before the meeting.

From my experience in this study group, I guessed something might happen during the meeting. In order to keep my fun from being spoiled, I had to beat it ahead and ask one of my friends on the way: "Is HE the murder??"

He knodded.

And that's it.

I can't go on with this one when I've already guess who the murder is... orz

Novecento. Sonderausgabe. Die Legende vom Ozeanpianisten.

Beautiful.

I finished it during a journey to Prag in Fall 2003, was all flushed when I closed the book. Tried to translated it but someone got it before me.

BTW, can't quite remember if this is the edition I have...haha.
