I am not sure if this is the first book I have read about science since I graduated from high school. But it is definitely one of the best, and I would recommend anyone, be it science-freaks or science-phobics, to read this highly interesting book. There is a lot of wonderful information and perspectives in this book. I just couldn't put the book down once I started! This book is basically a guide to science. Yet to state the fact more appropriately, it is a book about why and how we are here. The author tries to explain things using science and his humor combined. In this way, different branches of natural science do make more sense to us common readers. Science is not longer just something cold and inaccessible. I would say this is a book that can make people enthusiastic about science! In addition to scientific knowledge I get from this book, I also find in this book a great list of many significant works of important scientists and authors. This has made me do some further reading, which is really an inspiring reading experience! I read "The Map That Changed the World" because of this book, which is also a great book! How great it is to be able to learn so much from a single book! I bet this is one of the best rewards for a reader!
